Formerly known as the Kauai Coconut Beach, this lovely ocean front property has undergone extensive renovations since it was taken over by the Marriott hotel chain. And typical of all Marriott properties, it has been transformed into a beautiful hotel. Reminiscent of Hawaii's plantation era, the hotel is set on the secluded sands of Waipouli Beach, amidst a 10-acre coconut grove. The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated, featuring down/feather pillows and luxurious linens and furnishings. The bathrooms are large and beautifully designed and feature spray jets in the bathtub. There is cable/satellite TV with complimentary cable channels CNN, ESPN and HBO. A large lanai offers the perfect spot to watch the sunset or just to ponder on the beauty of Kauai. |
