Maui Eco-Adventures is an ecologically-minded
company dedicated to the Education, Exercise and Entertainment of
the visitors. Guided tours into the less traveled areas of the island
provide the opportunity to introduce the guests to the delicate
flora and fauna of the region while allowing the chance to demonstrate
the importance of preserving the environment.
Featuring hiking excursions to cascading
waterfalls for the adventurous traveler, and combination tours by
sea or land. The program is designed to enhance your stay on Maui
and furnish you with a full service experience of the Valley Isle
as can only be seen through trained and knowledgeable eyes.
Special Notes:
Transportation is available from West Maui Hotels. Clients wishing
to book Maui Eco Adventures staying in Kihei, Wailea or Kahului
will be picked up at Maui Ocean Center. Transfers to Ocean Center
are not included. Transportation is available from South Maui when
booking the Rainforest/Waterfall Hike.

West
Maui Rainforest / Waterfall Hike
The storybook rainforest hike complete with a waterfall is what every
guest dreams about. Imagine a trail covered with a green jungle canopy
that stretches along a rolling stream bed culminating at a waterfall pool.
As you meander by terraced Taro fields that were once farmed by ancient
Hawaiians you will experience mystical cascading waterfalls careening
off canyon walls in the distance, exotic fruit trees and local history.
What about food you say? We provide a complimentary breakfast of fresh
fruit, muffins and hot coffee. For lunch it is fresh deli sandwiches with
veggie crudite and dips, chips, juices and bottled water served in a scenic
locale.

Haleakala
Crater Hike
Begin your day with a scenic drive up to the crater of Haleakala in a
comfortable, air-conditioned van. Enjoy fresh ground coffee and a delicious
continental breakfast, featuring fresh tropical fruit and muffins, while
viewing the volcano - a perfect photo-opportunity. After breakfast hike
into the moonscape of Haleakala crater. Guests can hike as far down as
they like or sit and enjoy the landscape. This is our most strenuous hike,
as it is four to five miles at altitude. The spectacular views of the
North and South shores of Maui, the Central Valley and maybe even the
Big Island make this trip unforgettable!
Your knowledgeable guide will explain the intricacies of Hawaiian natural
and cultural history, and even a little geology. There are flora and fauna
on this hike found nowhere else on earth. Keep your eyes open for the
rare Hawaiian state bird (the Nene goose), along with other Maui wildlife.
The hike culminates with a delightful picnic lunch in a breathtaking location.

Hike
/ Kayak Combo
Scene I: The Hike; You will start your day by hiking the Nakalele
coastline. Nakalele is Maui's northernmost point and West Maui's youngest
lava flow. You will hike along breathtaking sea cliffs and erupting blowholes
into what feels like another planet. Bring plenty of film as turtles are
a common sight and the views are amazing. You may even get to see a few
whales in the winter months!
Scene II: The Kayak; A short van ride following lunch places us
along the Kapalua coastline. Kayaks will be waiting in Kapalua Bay for
a casual cruise along the clear blue waters of The West Maui Coast. Sea
Turtles are common sights and dolphins may visit, so be prepared for the
unexpected! These kayaks are the sit on top variety, so we welcome the
novice adventurers.

Waterfall
Experience
Do you want to see the best of the West Maui Mountains? Do you want to
see Honolua Bay, Nakalele Blowhole, Kahakuloa Village, Swim in two different
waterfalls, snap some pictures in the Iao Valley and be back by noon?
Sounds Crazy, it is! You will get picked up with fresh ground coffee to
sip along the way before the drive through several different environments
on this road trip.
You will also take a short hike through a tropical forest and past several
beautiful waterfalls. During your hike your guide will point out the exotic
plants, fruits and local history of the area. There will be time for a
swim in a fresh water pool or two during the hike so bring your swimsuit.

Hana
Rainforest / Waterfall Hike
If you want an adventure to write home about, this is it! Hana is the
most tropical area on Maui. You will hike under a dense tropical canopy,
through a giant bamboo forest and past beautiful waterfalls as you make
your way to the lunch site at the base of a 400+ foot waterfall that you
can hardly fit in your camera viewfinder. Your guide will point out the
exotic plants and fruits and local history of the area. Along the way
there will be a fresh water pool for swimming, so don't forget your swimsuit!

Crater Hike with Helicopter Ride
Start your adventure with an amazing helicopter flight! Soar over Maui's

Enjoy Sunshine Helicopter's Hana/Haleakala flight, then get dropped at
a remote landing zone to head off for a Haleakala Crater hike.
